The two medium belt pouches is a good idea! Has anyone gotten the actual kifaru camp bag? I am leaning that way only cause I know it will be bomb proof.

I have a camp bag on the big brown truck. It's being delivered Thursday. My thoughts are a medium and a large belt pouch under the camp bag for use when in "day pack" mode. Not sure how the large pouch will fit, but it looked like a useful combination when I laid it out at the sheep show.

More feedback to come...

I was in kifaru today, and the camp bag must have changed. The one on display now has a 2 way zipper and a zipper cover like the EMR II. I will be ordering one.

It's really lucky for me that Kifaru is NOT in town. It's already addicting enough putting combinations together in the "cart". I'm convinced there are to many options. A guy almost NEEDS one of everything...just to be ready.

No, you actually have to have two of most things, three of some and several of others. You might misplace something. You might need a different color. You might have to have something set up exclusively for spring hunts, summer hunts and late season hunts. Endless possibilities... better order that extra stuff soon before someone beats me to it!

Id like to get a nomad in mandrake, however not all the accessory line in kifaru has mandrake. Wondering do I just pick another color or wait.

What accessories are you looking for? We do offer some in mandrake currently and more to come. Would like to hear which ones people are interested so if there is a consensus on a few then we can try and get those sooner

I understand if one company releases a product, others will keep pace, but why do we need a water bladder bag? Isn't the idea less weight? Or are folks puncturing their bags and looking for extra protection?

I run a msr and have zero worries, just tie it off to the center loop.

Yup, I received the camp bag today. Two way zipper and it's covered.

Agreed. I see no need to put my water bladder in a bag. I hung mine from the center loop behind two belt pouches.

I'm not sure about a lid for this set up either. I put an XTL that I already have on it and didn't care much for it. I'm going to try a standard lid tomorrow - just not convinced I need a lid.

I'm amazed at how much gear this pack can swallow. I also like the way Nomad rides on the frame in day pack mode (without camp bag). It's the most non-traditional pack I've owned, but I do find it functional. A bit awkward for me at first, and I packed and re-packed a couple of times until I found what worked for me.

I made one crucial mistake today; I showed the woobie to my wife. I'm ordering one for me now since I no longer own one...

Hey Mark, post up some pics with the standard lid if wouldnt mind. I agree that for day hunts the lid isnt really necessary as far as capacity goes but think it helps finish the pack off some.
