The other thread about hunting and kids got me thinking. We have a lot of dads and moms on here and we should have a kids in the outdoors thread.

Awesome pictures Justin. Can't wait for Dylan to tag along on a backcounty hunt soon!

He out fishes me every time, and will sit in a freezing duck blind all day without ever complaining.

Here are my kids last year during the youth pheasant hunt season in Iowa. Jay was 15 and Laura was 13. As you can see, the kids had fun.

The best story I have is when Laura was 4 or 5 and Jay was 6 or 7 and I took the kids turkey hunting. Set up in a portable blind as I knew the kids couldn't sit still long enough. After about 5 minutes, Laura asks: "So dad, what did you bring to entertain me?" Didn't know whether to laugh or cry. Love to take the kids along when I have a chance. Both the kids participate in youth trapshooting and Jay has started shooting registered birds. I think Laura will be a better shooter if she sticks with it.

These threads seem very popular and with good reason. We proud of our kids and we all like to show them off.
