Judge my bull please.

So, this is my first decent elk. I killed this guy on a solo 2nd season CO hunt. 2nd elk ive takin. Im just very curious if this is a good elk for a general CO tag. Im not experienced in what a big elk or decent elk is. Im from the pa, our elk are ridiculous in size and extremely managed for trophy status. Feel free to critize. I scored him at 256"

OTC 2nd season id shoot that bull all day every day. Be proud of him! The bull I shot this year on a 6 point unit may only be about 35” bigger than him so you did very well. Congrats

That's a nice branch antlers bull to be taken off of public land.
He looks young, some of those old bulls and cows are pretty homely
I live in colorado and have seen a lot of elk ,living and dead
Seems like any legal bull is okay which leads to a lot of misshapen racks coming off the mountains, good job
