Jackson Hole Activities Mid July

We were supposed to go to Banff for our honeymoon but instead headed to Jackson Hole. Passed through when I was a child but other than that have never spent time in the area. Aside from the Tetons, town square, and the other trip advisor esque recommended spots... What does the slide have to say about it?

What is a must go to or must see while there? We already booked a fly fishing trip for one day.

Inn on the Creek is top notch and the only place we stay when just me and the wife. Custom breakfast and the ladies that work there can line out your day and tell you the places to go.

Is staying away an option? Hadn't gone through there in about 15 years. Went through early August last year and didn't even slow down going through town. WAY too many people...we stopped out side of town and ate at the Dornan's Chuckwagon spot right at sunset...that wasn't too bad with the sunset behind the tetons. But as far as the area it is beautiful but ruined by the hordes of people. I would recommend finding a more quiet resort type of setting.

That place has a awesome! That’s where my wife and I stayed at for our honeymoon. We asp went fly fishing for a day and horseback riding another day. We are hoping to get back out there next summer.

We go to Jackson/Yellowstone twice a year. Breakfast and/or pastries at The Bunnery is a great way to start the day. If hungry for a burger, head to The Bird south of town. They put their burgers on English muffins which sounds really odd, but that place is awesome. Closer to downtown, we really enjoyed the Thai food at Thai Me Up. Also, the gondola ride to the top of the mountain at the ski resort is very cool.

Ride the gondola at Jackson hole resort. If you time it during the happy hour it’s pretty reasonable for some food and drinks (by Jackson hole standards) with an incredible view. Buy tickets online to save some money. The view is pretty legit. Even better with some $2 pabst blue ribbons.

It’s been about 13 years ago now. Not sure what outfit we went with but there were several.

The gondola was and still is shut down I believe because of the Covid, Not sure it will be open> Might want to check with whatever hotel you stay at. A lot of them don't have their normal accommodations open yet like a pool, gym spa or stuff like that. Also they might not have their food or bar services open.

Gondola is closed but they are running the tram, with single groups only. Get some waffles up top.

Rent a canoe from Dornan's and paddle String and Leigh Lakes. Great views of the Cathedral group and some good hiking on shore.

This pretty much hits it on the head. I’d add Glorietta to that if you’re into Italian food. And Roadhouse is a cool spot on the square to get a drink.

Yep, you're right, gondola is open, not tram. I live on the poor side of the Tetons and rarely venture over!

the bird is great, I ate 3 burgers and like 9 beers there after getting done with a week long backpacking trip in Yellowstone a few years ago.

Drive over to Kelly and keep on driving into the Gros Ventre, its scenic. There used to be a taco place in Wilson that was good. Float the Snake. If you have the time, drive to Pinedale and go up the east side of Fremont lake. Also the Mountain Man museum is in Pinedale.
