Whether you're just camping overnight or hunting for a week or more, do you carry any liquor in your pack? If so, whaddaya packin'? This should be interesting.

Nope. Maybe some cold beer at the truck in the cooler but thats it. Im not packing anything extra that I dont "need"

Yup--
My wife bought me a badass Simms flask that I top off with Wild Turkey 101. Nothing takes the cold off like the Kickin' Chicken!

Same here. My daughter bought me 5 flasks in every size. A little Gran Patron Bordeos often comes along for medicinal purposes.

We take turns carrying a pint of Pucker in on the first night... Annual celebration right before bed on the first night and it helps me sleep :)

If I don't need it for hunting it doesn't come in my pack. If you seriously can't go a hunting trip with out a drink you may want to evaluate where drinking lands in your priority list...

Not backpacking but you can bet there will be a 12 pack in the panniers if its a horse trip. Not too extremes but sure can be nice to have a beer with dinner or to celebrate.

Well, if there was booze in my pack.....that would be the first thing that would go before putting the pack on. No need to carry unnecessary weight. Maybe that's why so many have a hard time getting their pack weight so low.;) I don't even have any booze at my base camp. The only beer I have there is A&W.

Wild Turkey. Sure is nice to have a few shots at the end of a long day of hiking. Helps me fall asleep too. Feel just fine the next day, ready for round 2, and 3, and well maybe 4...lol.

Wow, some of you are wound up tight...as an adult I can manage the weight and I can manage the alcohol.

You should here what those folks in Colorado are carrying in with them! Should be lighter weight though...

I don't really drink, so no. Dealing with drunks at work has pretty much ended my alcohol intake.....the smell makes me sick to my stomach now.

The weight is not a problem, I'd much rather have it then not! I would take beer, but the weight IS too much. That's why you gotta go with the potent stuff(100 proof), I sometimes go with Bacardi 151 for extra pop. Also, I transfer it into a plastic water bottle or gatorade bottle. Saves weight and don't worry about breaking it.

I like some Makers Mark,, I pour it into a Gator Aid bottle. I rarely drink, but I do enjoy a sip after the hunt is over, while we sit around the fire and reminisce about the hunt and enjoy each others company. Everything in moderation, having had an alcoholic father,, I can see it both ways and when hunting with folks that run a dry camp I respect that too.

Not in my pack. If the people I was hunting with had some drinks it certainly wouldn't bother me. But if they stayed up late getting torn up around the campfire, I'd be pretty annoyed. Loud drunks in a campsite are not my favorite people.
