Has anyone used their health insurance for a specific diet? I know generally you can get supplements and certain products like Pedialyte covered. I know there are deductibles and what not, but I'm curious if the insurance covers stuff once you've met the deductible OR does it just come out to be a qualified medical expense and I use my HSA? It can be covered by the HSA by "letter of medical necessity", but if I don't have to deplete my HSA and can get some payment from the insurance company, that would be fantastic.
My step daughter is just shy of being on a carnivore diet and I have a couple things going on that the Dr. might consider putting me on the carnivore so we're likely going to need to buy a good bit of meat proteins.
