Insulated pants

Need to wear your mid layer on the trail and then put your outer on at tree or blind. A lot of the insulated pants are going to be to hot unless its really really cold. I have worn the Proximity LT walking about 125 yards to my tree stand in 27 degrees and I thought I was going to pass out and i was drenched. Had to take jacket off and my mid layer. Never did it again and won't. I wear guide pro pants and they weren't to bad walking in with a 200 merino under it. The last Kuiu sale I went and got the heavier Axis pant that have the waterproof paneling and they are definitely heavier than the guide pros. Which is what I wanted.
