Watched a Hush video where they got two draw elk tags. The stalky round guy with the beard proceeds to shoot his elk in the ass and turns to the camera and says it was a good shot. Poor elk just sat injured all night until they came in the next day to finish it. Influencers are such scumbags.

I'm average at best at hunting and shooting. I've made my share of shots that left a lot to be desired. That said, it blows my mind how bad influencers in general tend to be at shooting. Crap happens, but the percentage of piss poor shots from influencers really is sad. The ol texas heart shot and the following "smoked him" line are ridiculous.

The shot on the WT wasn't bad - not in the ass as OP stated, in gut, and up into the chest cavity...

It’s clear to me that the buck was on the move. It did not look like he was gonna stay still for long. There was nothing unethical about the first shot. He obviously made a perfect shot and dropped it. Angle was fine. I don’t think there was any option of waiting for a better angle. That angle was plenty good.

The whitetail shot was iffy, but most tipped bullets handle steep quartering pretty well.
Hate the guy but got to agree here. First shot is perfectly find broadside shot. Second shot the shooter was definitely to the left of the camera and did seem like he was some distance away so we really don’t know exactly what the shot angle was.

Hard quartering away shots can be perfectly acceptable as long as you know what you are doing and have the skills to back it up. Of course we would all always prefer a perfectly broadside shot. In the case of the second deer it did seem like he could have waited for a better shot but once again we don’t even know what the shot angle was for the shooter.

If I remember correctly.
1. Shot a turkey in the wrong unit in Utah.
2. Convicted of trespassing once in Utah.
3. Convicted of trespassing once in Idaho.

But why do people support them still? Well according to a thread about a sponsorship...and then a podcast
1. Who cares?
2. You are just participating in "cancel culture" if you do boycott them and/or their sponsors. Those are only just the ones they have found l
Those are just the ones we have found out about…

Just stop giving these people clicks... Even if you don't subscribe, he still got a view from these being watched.

This is true, but there is something to be said for bringing negative attention to people like this. Take a second and write his sponsors an email letting them know how you feel about the fact that they support a dude who has been convincted for poaching three times over. Give them a call too.

I honestly do believe the next decade will decide the fate of hunting for our kids. If we don't hold people like this dude accountable as a community, we are toast.

Until you and the other guys stop clicking, he will continue to make money and be on the TV/Youtube screen.

Do you have any evidence that I've ever clicked on anything associated with an influencer? I attached a screenshot of a post one of his sponsors made so guys could write said sponsor with their opinions. Using that information to give them negative press coverage is the best way to destroy these peoples' ability to market themselves.

Side note, a fun game is to go down the comments on posts like that. If you see an outfitter or other company supporting them, send that profile a message letting them know you won't buy from brands that associate with poachers. Really gets them in their feels.
