Did you win a prize for the longest Rokstock wait time?480 days… But what was originally an LE Green stock is now a black carbon camo and it’s arrived. The great unknown wait is over haha. Haven’t mounted it all up yet but the CTR bottom metal fits perfectly, slight press fit. Details are right, Cody reached out to confirm before shipping, which was fast. Excited to put it to work soon.

They got a full refund and a rokstok. So you can't say they didn't get a prize

when I sent mine in to UM to get spacers added I had them relieve some area for my PVA. annoying but yea I understand your frustrationsHave they changed the inlet around the shank/front of action on these yet? I don't understand why they feel the need to taper so tight around the front of the action. PVA sporter prefits burn tight on the two sendero channel ones I have. I have an ACE "tikka lite" contoured 223 that seems it may have issues on fitment even. Need to investigate further but it was shooting well in a bravo, put in rokstok and it went to shit - nearly 2" 10 shot groups. Back in bravo and it cranked out a 10 shot that was probably near 1/2" right away.
Both the diameter around the barrel shank and how it tapers right in front of the action seem like areas to create stress. Not sure why they’d do that? You can tell the action is tight against that taper by looking at it.View attachment 866923
I have 2 rokstoks and both have imperfections right above the grip as well. Must be from the mold or how they add the textureGot my stock in today from the last drop. I really like the feel of the grip and the comb while shouldering it at home. I don't love the gloss finish but I'll probably end up rattle canning it anyway. I know others have complained about it but I'm pretty disappointed in the surface finish on the carbon. There are lots of small pinholes and other imperfections, nothing structural but still.
On a side note, does this look installed correctly? It seems like it's slid a little too far forward to me but this is the first aftermarket stock I've ever installed. You can see in the pictures that the bolt release is almost touching the front of the notch, the T in Tikka is touching the front of the inlet for the model/serial number, and the tang looks like it sits too far forward in the stock.
I think ya did it right, lug looks seatedGot my stock in today from the last drop. I really like the feel of the grip and the comb while shouldering it at home. This doesn't look fully seated on the lug to my eye, but it's hard to tell from the photos.Got my stock in today from the last drop. Ya know what, I took a closer look where ‘Tikka’ is stamped on receiver, and that combined with the extra little bit the rear tang area has exposed, I’m changing my diagnosis. Thanks, I'll try that after work today.Ya know what, I took a closer look where ‘Tikka’ is stamped on receiver, and that combined with the extra little bit the rear tang area has exposed, I’m changing my diagnosis. I think mxgspghdjxmsfx is on to something… try to loosen the screws to just shy of snug and lightly squeeze the receiver and stock together while pushing the receiver (barrel makes a good handle) rearward and you should feel it thunk down when the lug lines up with the lug slot. Front action screw should need a partial turn before becoming snug again afterwards, an indicator that it’s down on the lug.
Take a picture showing the ejection port - that was the easiest identifier for me when determining whether it's seated on the lug or not. It should be parallel and flush to the top of the stock. Thanks, I'll try that after work today.
Looks parallel to me.Take a picture showing the ejection port - that was the easiest identifier for me when determining whether it's seated on the lug or not. It should be parallel and flush to the top of the stock.
Parallel yes… but it should be flush also I believe. Something looks off still?Looks parallel to me.
