For all those that watch YouTube, but complain about what's on there. Are you putting out content? Where do you think it comes from? It can come from money like TV bullshit if you prefer (which is the direction it's likely going). Or it can come from people who may or may not be experts that are taking time and effort to put stuff out there for reasons other than money. Those reasons may be that they're trying to become somebody, or doing it just for their own entertainment, or maybe to put whatever knowledge is in their head out to the public to try to be helpful. The beauty of YouTube is that anyone can do it. It's up to the viewer to decide whether or not it's bullshit information or not. I'm definitely not defending the Jack asses from Hush, but somewhere along the way of becoming a YouTube watcher I started to feel obligated to put what little information that I've gained over my lifetime out there to save others the trouble of learning on their own.

There are a dozen bulls I know of wintering very close to a crowded roadway on private property. I see people daily jumping the fence trespassing trying to track down a shed or two, meanwhile chasing the bulls around. Most of the bulls haven't even shed yet! I hate what shed hunting has become.

Agree with this. Can always use knowledgeable people sharing information to help others. That is a good part of the world today. The flip side is the blind leading the blind. Got to take the good with the bad.

I don’t understand how it can be legal to sell sheds? You can’t sell meat, hides, etc... and rightly so. How is this any different?

You cant sell hides? Are you sure, you can sell fur.
The reason you cant sell meat is not profit its, because it cant be certified to my knowledge.
Yeah and if people shouldn't be able to sell sheds they shouldn't be able to sell firewood collecting on public lands ether.

I’m getting on up there. I’d like to think I have another 10 or 15 good ones climbing ridges and sitting in trees from daylight to dark, but I’ll be lucky if I get that many. (Although I’m training hard for a Bridger-Teton elk hunt this fall which is why I’m spending time here studying up.)

If there’s one thing I’ve learned that has improved my overall attitude, it’s that there are lots of folks I’d like to straighten out but damn little I can do about it. I do better when I don’t worry with it. Many, many times ingot stirred up and it ended up I’m the one that needed the coaching.

I have found an antler or two but it wasn’t on purpose. Not sure I knew it was a thing.

The state should just make it illegal if the goal is to stop harassing wildlife.
I mean people can have whatever opinions they want on those guys, but being here in UT and interacting with them, they aren't bad guys. I would say they can probably be credited with bringing a ton of people into hunting. More people on our side is great. We need it.
Every year they have a movie night deal and donate all the proceeds to a different charity. Last year went to Primary Children's Hospital. Like $20,000 or something they donated. This year they are donating it all to The Huntsman Cancer Institute.

Everybody does dumb stuff that everyone won't agree with sure. Who hasn't? Feel free to make fun of flat bills, shed hunting, Utah in general, and when someone does something dumb that deserves calling out. I would have to think the good they do outweighs the bad! Maybe I've just turned into a Utard. Who knows. haha

It’s been happening around here (Wyoming) for a couple weeks. I know of a couple guys that have been getting them as they drop. Some parts it is legal this time of year. I wish they would just make it a season opener everywhere. Agreed, we are our own worst enemy.

That is some great things you mentioned they do! But with that many followers watching they need to be more responsible. They know the possibilities of what happens when you stress the bucks this time of year and chose to ignore it for a 10 minute video. Because honestly how much hiking and land covered and deer bumped did it take to gather that many sheds? Started at daylight and ended at dark. How many more people did it drive out since then to do the same. How many times is a buck gonna be ran at this time, this year or the the next ect ect till they don’t survive to make it up the mountain and into summer.
I say shed hunting is great but give it till May when there’s green feed and the herd is moving off the winter range and up the mountain. Hell if you need content come out to California and shoot pigs. Or go fish.

I think this goes both ways. The Hush crew is great for targeting the youth and introducing them into the hunting world. I do think they have done some questionable things, including leaving animals whole in the field over night for better daytime pictures. Shed hunting areas they shouldn’t be in yet. Most of all they lost my respect for having this Outlaw guy become a part of their operation, just so both sides could benefit financially. As I said these guys have a huge following primarily from young kids. The last thing these kids need is their influencers shoving tabacco in their faces. Kids will certainly be exposed to that in their own lives and the decision is obviously each kids, but why promote it even more?

Fish and game doesn't wait to chase them into nets with helicopters.

So let me get this straight, you believe that game and fish biologists doing research or relocations (unless you think they're doing it just for fun) are the same as a flat bill bro looking for antlers? Interesting perspective. Please tell us more...I gots to hear more...

Your argument is that stressing a deer is gonna kill it.
Obviously fish and game doesn't because getting chased by a chopper and held down by a human sounds pretty stressful. I'd assume If they thought they were gonna harm an ungulate they wouldn't do it.
And no I dont think a deer getting casually bumped is gonna harm it.
If so all outdoor activities should be banned.
Bear hunting, hikes,snow shoeing etc.

First off, I didn't make any argument. You made that argument through your assumption. Secondly game and fish are doing a job, for the overall benefit of the species (and in turn the public who enjoy it). Flatty bro is doing it for $$ and likes. If you believe they are the same thing, I would say you have an obvious bone to pick with your G&F agency.....and its showing.

Thanks for the response.
