Any handloaders more familiar with the difference between the two, IMR and hodgdon 4350? Had good success with H but IMR results have been lackluster. Specs:

Winchester 70 24", 30-06, 168gr a-max. For the IMR using a node at 56.4gr at 2850 fps average. Will do a new seat depth assessment this weekend.

Out of hodgdon, if I can't tighten it up the IMR I also have IMR 4064 with a load that'll do but running short on that powder too.

Thanks.

Ive found win 760 to be the best in my 3006 and .243.

I load 150 gr in 3006 at 2900 fps and dont feel im pushing it.

In my 30-06, H4350 groups better with 150 gr. TTSX, while IMR4350 groups better with 168 gr. Accubond. The differences are marginal, but measurable. For hunting loads inside 400 yards I would not hesitate to use either powder, but having scored 8 lb. of H4350 from Powder Valley earlier this year I know what I'll be using. Good luck.

What seating depth (from lands) are you using?

Yes. I'm curious if you hit the same velocity will your groups mirror each powder. Might be a couple grains different between the two but if your rifle has a node at 2850fps might be worth testing.

Stick with H4350 if your 06 likes it and you have some of course. My Rem 700 3006 loves IMR4350. H4350 not nearly as much.
