I’m lazy… what are the current best digiscoping set ups?

It’s not that I’m actually lazy, I’ve just been too busy with memes and playing with my AI action figures. I haven’t looked into digiscoping in years. I currently use the Outdoorsman’s system. Sorry… I “run” the Outdoorsman’s system. It’s okay… it can be a little cumbersome with all the rings and the dedicated phone case and only using my phone. I was wondering if there was a better system out there that is fast, light, and easy to use. I typically digiscope with a spotter, SLC 15s, and sometimes SLC 10s. Is there a consensus top one or two digiscope adapters out on the market?

I have more trouble getting the correct lens centered when zooming than I do with adapters.

However, magview here; for cheap I can slap a magnet on a friend's phone and they can play too.

The price for the Ollin is nuts… it’s a very similar system to the Outdoorsman’s I already have (and is paid for) except they use magnets and the OD screws on. Just to get the system and a spotting scope adaptor and SLC 15 adaptor is almost $300. The mountain mag is intriguing and costs less…. Might look into that one. I figured there would be a quick attach universal that isn’t phone or optic specific.

a more affordable option that is currently on sale at 20% off

I use the magview due to not having to use a proprietary case. If I had found on glass before I bought magview, I would probably gone that route.

Does onglass work with wireless charging?

I just bought a cheap amazon case that i use for hunting/scouting. I honestly prefer it as it keeps my everyday nicer and cleaner.

To answer your question it doesnt for mine but i have a big charging pad. a smaller one might work if the magnet can hang off the side.

Guess I will stick with my magview then. I don’t love it but I can barely remember to take my phone with me, let alone change out a case on it.

The dash mount from onglass is the most intriguing to me.

I just got the Epoch Outdoors Mountain Mag and I have to admit I like it way more than the phoneskope I used for years. All I have to do is slap the adapter on the back, match it up with the magnetic eye piece and it’s good. No special case, no permanent adaptor to stick on the case, no magnet that won’t let you use MagSafe chargers none of it.

Just use what ever MagSafe compatible case you have, match the adapter to the phone model, the eyepiece to the scope and you are good to go.

I have the more expensive phoneskope package, and it sucks. I used their cheap plastic ones for years and I actually prefer those.

The new one still needs to slide in place with a bracket, which I didn’t realize when I pre-ordered it. They also send a magnetic battery and dash mounted charger in the package, and neither works. They told me it was a flaw in the case design and they'd send me a new one when they fixed it. Not sure if they're still working on a redesign or not.

Well I went to buy On Glass for my binoculars (SLC 10s and 15s) and spotting scopes (Kowa 554 and STX 65/95). But their site is not Apple friendly (at least for me). It doesn't allow me to select binoculars on my Mac (all browsers). On my iPhone I can buy a single kit (binoculars or spotting scope) but it will not allow me to buy additional spacers; it won't even let me buy three additional full kits (tested but would never do that). I do wish them the best but I am not going to do four separate orders just to buy their digiscope setup.

So does that leave Mountain Mag? Their site works just fine on my Mac (all browsers) and my iPhone.

I’m strongly leaning to Mountain Mag. Seems to perform very well, and it’s super simple
