Update on the mountain mag, a bit of good and bad.

Bad- I got to my first hunt of the season yesterday, had the phone adapter in my carry on with all my electronics/glass. Went to get everything in my pack last night after landing and the adapter had broken. I have no idea how it broke since there is a lot of fragile stuff in there so I am extremely careful. Raised plastic ring broke and two magnets had fallen out (I pushed them back in before the pic).

Good- I reached out to Epoch outdoors when I saw it and they had me a replacement mailed out within an hour of sending the email. Great CS.

Take away- system works well, just baby the phone adapter. Does seem like with a little effort it could be made beefier and in the email Bruce said he’d keep this in mind and look to adding more material there. Even so, still better than the magview I was using.

Issue I haven’t seen a solution too

I am a pop socket man, don’t like using a phone without one. And don’t like swapping or carrying a separate case
Anyone else like me? If so, which is the best option to work with a pop socket?

Anyone put a “on glass” magnet on the pop socket?

The Kapture set up is looking like my best bet and add My pop socket

I'm not a pop socket guy, but I bet you could get one of the ScopeCam adapter options to work with one.
