My ole faithful Savage 116 30-06. I have had other rifles and will have more but that one will always be with me.

Mine is 7mm Rem Mag built by GAP with a 3-15 scope. It shoots anything from 120 grain to 180 grain. I have more but I don’t really them.

I guess I’ll have to add my Remington 700 30-06 to this thread as well. Early 80’s model. Seems I’m regularly tempted to try something else but inevitably I never follow through. Because I already own a gun that can handle it. My Dad gave me the rifle, it’s a lefty, and it is dead accurate. He used it for competitive shooting as well as hunting. A 7mm-08 will eventually wear me down. It will be “for my son” and I’m just working up loads for it.

Anyways, scary thread. Hope it never has to happen.

300swm is my vote, it can shoot light to heavy bullets, is extremely efficient.

I’d like to say my 300 Weatherby Weathermark, but if ammo availability becomes a issue, the my Kimber 84L in 30-06 or A-bolt in 7mm mag.

My 300 WSM Finnlight for one hunting rifle.

SCAR 17 for one rifle, ammo can be found everywhere.

This is a tough question and I tried to answer it as an off the shelf gun and not thinking about SHTF situation. More of a situation where we're poor and my wife only lets me own one hunting rifle.

I also wanted to pick something I don't already have, just for the fun of it.

Winchester Model 70 Extreme Weather SS 6.5 Creedmoor Bolt Action Rifle 22" Fluted Barrel. I think it's a great compromise of awesome and reasonable.
