18 elk tags already sold out and only 2,000 people are through the online system so far.

I left the IDFG window up (I'm #46,556), and skipped over to Tinder to see if I can meet a local girl, do an internet wedding, and qualify for Resident tags.

Amazingly, I'm even further back in line. She's got 50,000 marriage proposals and counting....

Gonna have to jump to 23AndMe to explore my Native heritage...

Anybody know how many people they let in the buy tags at the same time? Is it only one at a time?

I saw on fish and games website that if someonecis buying for 5 or more people, they had a seperate line at idfg offices if that is what you are asking.
You can only purchase for one person at a time, then you have to re enter information.

Looks like many of the elk zones sold out in less than 20 minutes.

It wasn't very long ago that you could buy your NR WT tag on Thanksgiving week when you got to ID. If you tagged out you could go buy your additional tag.

A lot more fair than what I did. I opened up 20 browser sessions and got #209 as my lowest.

I think the act of acquiring tags is being driven more and more by conspicuous consumption.

Getting the tag is viewed as the value more than the actual tag itself.
