My favorite hunt of the year. Late archery 39. And I even prefer elk personally, but I think you can't beat this hunt. I haven't hunted deer in other states, but I haven't heard of an OTC hunt where you can be putting stalks on 170+ mule deer day in and day out, with a tag you can buy from Wal Mart. I saw 2 bucks over 180 and 1 over 190 in 3 days of hunting last November.

Killing them is a different story!!!! :)

This will get a few more guys over there for sure. Not to much opportunity to hunt muleys in the rut any more

Massive unit, plenty of country to hunt. Most are happy chasing the smaller bucks within a mile of the truck. Other hunters don't seem to disrupt my hunt as much, the deer usually just run a draw over and start feeding again, unlike when they are getting shot at with rifles.

The problem we have is sneaking up on these large herds, but it's incredibly fun.

I just got back to work today it was a crazy 3 days of hunting!! I moved some stuff around to free up some time so I can go back this weekend after a beautiful buck! Ill share pictures when I get all caught up and have a computer I can download pictures to. Hope everyone is having as much fun as I am it sure is a blast hunting them this time of year.

And like twsnow18 said; it’s tough getting in bow range.

I am jealous Tyler! Good luck when you head back. Travis and I will keep you in our thoughts this winter when we can't hunt and are freezing our balls off :)
