My wife has gotten 5 subpoenas now to appear as a witness, federal case, pretty basic stuff to attest to on her part, but that's 5 days she has set aside to appear, then not be needed because of a continuance.

Defense keeps extending stuff, I assume its a strategy.

I think its pretty shitty the judges allow it. You have people that have things they need to do, then hafta schedule a day around a court appearance you don't really have any involvement in.


Last year I think I had 6 jury duties I was summoned for, only to find out the evening before I didn't need to go. Can kinda screw your schedule.

Not that it matters, I was at the Salmon fish and game office, they day he brought the lion in. It was just the hide frozen and rolled into a ball. I thought it was an odd way to bring a critter in to have it checked. And he was in a big hurry that day.
