Sorry totally wrong. Our ICU are not overwhelmed today with Covid patients thanks to the Vaccine. They will be overwhelmed in just a few more weeks thanks to the unvaccinated.
Again.......you're blaming this mystical labeled 1/3 of the population for a problem that only exists for the ~100k ICU beds nationwide. And IF those unfortunate unvaccinated patients just happen to fill up all of those beds, then gee.......the other 100,000,000 unvaccinated also get left out of the ICU as well. So who are you blaming that on? Again.......that's like blaming 100% of the gun owners for the miniscule number of crimes (as a percentage) committed with guns in this country. That makes no sense. It's only a problem because everyone has been told this is the problem, and that this is the pandemic of the unvaccinated. So the Chicken Little's run around spouting what they've heard and acting like the world is ending.

Yeah, mutation is what is undermining herd immunity as we are seeing reinfections of those who previously had COViD and breakthrough infections among the fully immunized. On the flip side, that doesn’t diminish the value that immunization apparently still provides for protecting against severe disease and potentially future mutations.
What's the data that specifically says the vaccine protects against severe disease? In other words, what's to say that case in a healthy individual would have been severe had they been unvax'd?

Peer reviewed proof or just media conjecture and a sales pitch from Dr. Fauci?

Meanwhile, illegal Fentanyl drugs coming across the southern border have increased by 300% and is the #1 killer of people between 18-45 years old. No coverage in the media, nothing from the fencepost-intelligence POTUS, or anyone. Again, when the Dems start to legitimately give 2 $hit$ about Covid and DEATHS of Americans, they will completely shut down the border. Until that happens, its all political.

And you're blaming all the ICU problems on 1/3 of the U.S. population even though the number of ICU beds in the country can only accommodate approximately .03% of the population. That's not 3%, that's .03%. And that's the total of all ICU beds (burn unit etc). Is that math too simple for folks to understand? The ICU, the unvaccinated, and Covid are the least of America's problems at this point.
This is what I point out to people all the time when they say "our ICU's are filling up". The suits have made a choice that they are only offering up a ridiculously small number of ICU beds for our communities. If it were truly profitable I'm sure they'd have more. Our community has a max of approximately 600 ICU beds available for Covid (it varies with staffing decisions and staffing availablity) in a community of slightly over 1 million people. ~600 Covid ICU beds for 1 million people, chew on that a bit.

As soon as Biden took office almost all of the border patrol checkpoints down here in southern AZ were shut down. No one talks about it. Biden and Co opened the floodgates in so many ways, no if's and's or but's about it.

Sorry but that's all bullsh t. Even if they were, they may just as well be full of vaxxed people. All one needs to do is read. Read from those who are fully vaxxed with booster only to see that they are Omicron positive. "Science" doesn't know what the hell they are doing as it relates to these variants.

I state this as a double vaxxed person who 'trusted the science.' (no booster.) Delta was an ass-kicker, Omicron isn't--mho. This latest variant is the virus finally (and hopefully) flaming out as a pandemic. We'll likley see more, but weaker and even more transmissible, aka endemic.

And this is what quite a few logical and rational scientists and doctors have been saying was a good possibility for awhile now. Too bad logical and rational doesn't make the news.

According to a FOIA request, the CDC has published that ZERO people have been confirmed to have had covid twice. ZERO.
I've tried to look this up, but based on what I can find, I don't think this is accurate.

My wife and I personally know about 8-10 people who have had covid at least twice. One couple--three times!
These WERE CONFIRMED WITH TESTS.

CDC has gotten high on their own supply.

Can you show me a documented case by the CDC of a re-infection? Not just "I tested positive twice" the tests can display a false positive for dead virus still in the body after initial infection.

Their FOIA response said they "do not have that data".

Do you honestly believe the CDC does not have data on any re-infections? The only logical explanation is that there are no documented cases yet they won't release that data as it defeats the arguement for vax/boosters among the previously infected.

This explanation just makes the Most sense to me. YMMV.

You mean the same tests a high percentage of confirmed false positives?

Keep buying what they're selling.

Here ya go...and this is just one version of the test.

Dude, it isn't rocket science. Of course there are false positives, but these people aren't all getting false positives to a disease that they've already had with all of the same exact symptoms.

Note to self, if smell and taste are gone two years in a row, it's probably freakin' Covid--again....

I haven't searched the CDC or anywhere else to look for documented cases of reinfection. But since you mentioned a FOIA request, I did look up and find one. I don't know if it is the one you referenced, but it sounds close - and it's the one getting some traction on the internet.

FWIW, here's a link to the FOIA request (https://www.sirillp.com/wp-content/...-CDC-Reinfection-and-Transmission_FINAL-5.pdf) and a link to the response (https://www.sirillp.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/21-02152-Final-Response-Letter-Brehm-1.pdf). The law firm asked for "[d]ocuments reflecting any documented case of an individual who: (1) never received a COVID-19 vaccine; (2) was infected with COVID-19 once, recovered, and then later became infected again; and (3) transmitted SARS-CoV-2 to another person when reinfected." The response from the CDC was "A search of our records failed to reveal any documents pertaining to your request. The CDC Emergency Operations Center (EOC) conveyed that this information is not collected."

IMHO the law firm asked for too narrow of data - and while it's possible (probable?) that the CDC has info related to individuals meeting #1 and #2, but I would be surprised if they have collected information that is responsive to the third qualification.

Is your point that you do not believe that someone with natural immunity can be reinfected? If so, I believe there are studies (I think one was done in Israel) in which natural immunity was compared to protection by vaccination. If my memory is correct, I believe that the study said natural immunity was better than receiving a vaccination - but I am pretty sure they did not conclude natural immunity (or vaccination protection) was 100% - which I believe supports the conclusion that people can be reinfected. At least in Israel.

You mean the same symptoms of a cold/flu? It's entirely possible to have had covid, test positive, get a cold/flu, test positive again (fasle positive this time)...do you ever wonder where the flu went? Funny how nobody had it this year, right? Only covid. Sure.

Your mind is already made up, so carry on.

You got me all wrong.
I'm not some mindless, uncompromising droid. I listen and reason for myself. And as ludicrous as it sounds, I appreciate your postings on this here.

When close friends of mine tell me that they are flat out sick, lost taste and smell and just tested + for 'rona for a second time, I believe them.
Some of these peeps rarely get sick from anything at all.

This sh t can double back, whether you care to accept that or not.

Here you go

And there are thousands of confirmed cases of people being reinfect after having Covid previously. Link below is a small sample size.

You got me...the propaganda is just too convincing at this point.

You've changed my mind, thanks for the links...I'm off to get my two shots and two boosters today, can't be too careful.

I'd hate to be in for a "winter of death and suffering" like the WH suggeted..

Merry Christmas.

You've subsequently implied you don't trust the CDC, but you asked for a documented case from the CDC. Here's an (admittedly small) example of possible reinfection - https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/70/wr/mm7008a3.htm. Five of 12 patients in a skilled nursing facility appear to have been infected with Covid twice. Note, the report itself says that reinfection (at least at the time of the report) "is believed to be rare." It's possible those are five false positives, but I suspect the chances of that are pretty small.

You seemed to be arguing against reinfection. @Crghss gave you an example of reinfection. I don't see anything in his post that says you should get vaccinated.

With respect to this "is reinfection real or fake" tangent there are those of us who think reinfection is real - based on things we have posted here. We could be wrong and brainwashed.

I'm willing to concede I could be wrong (especially since it happens to me all of the time). Are you?
