I'm getting ready for moose season. I have a bull moose tag for early September. Decided to do an actual quick-drop test with my rifle in a simulated real world hunting situation just to see how well myself and the rifle would do.

The rifle is a Kimber Adirondack 6.5cm loaded with 147's and N550 with Alpha brass. The scope is an NX8 1-8x24.
I shot on 6 power from sitting, supported with sticks in front and backpack in rear.

The paper is 28 inches long by 22 inches tall. I just aimed for the center of the paper, no bullseye. There are 5 different distances with 2 shots fired at each distance. My zero is about .1 low and not surprisingly most of the shots in this test have tracked low as well. The scope is .2 per click, so I can't really get a more precise zero.

Each set of 2 shots are connected with a line with the yardage and the come-up that I dialed in mils. I think all shots would have resulted in a dead moose, so I'm pretty happy.

I also shot 4 rounds with my .223.

This is the particulars of the load:
