I think you might have earned that smith a little business! Looks like a shooter to me!
This is the 4th rifle he's built for me, and they've all shot like this. Or some even better honestly haha.

This was my 7-300 NMI he built for me, just fire forming with 180 ELDM’s.

Same rifle at 730 yards once brass was formed. I believe it was a .3 or .4 group with the first 3 shots landing into a 1” group.

He cares about the stuff that matters, and it shows on target time and time again

would you ever consider a 22 prc or are you happy with a 6 prc? Also could you make a 6 prc fit in a standard mag (<2.980”) with a 108??

C'mon man, everyone knows you need at least 100 rounds down a barrel before you can do any sort of shooting or load development! haha

Nice rig and great shooting as always!

I personally wouldn’t consider it. A 22 creedmoor is pretty badass. You can just run it without a suppressor or muzzle brake on a 26” barrel and get crazy speeds with very little recoil.

Yeah you can absolutely put a 6 PRC in a standard mag. My reamer with the 108’s is a 2.950 coal at .020 off the lands. And a 2.980 COAL with a 109 ELDM and .020 off the lands.

Honest to god, to use to think EXACTLY that way. And while it is true that it does take about that many shots for the velocity of the barrel to stabilize, it’s not like it randomly jumps 100 fps from one shot to next once it decides to speed up hahaha.

Go shoot, verify drops just before hunting, and you’re good to go for the season IMO. Even if the barrel has 30 rounds on it.

The POI does wander around slightly for the first few rounds though. I’d say I’d feel 100% confident with a stable setup, good zero and good drop data with 40 rounds down the barrel.

It really only takes 25-30 rounds to get them barrels sped up. Some are more stubborn and take longer but rarely is it enough too throw you out of kill zone out to 1000. Sorry never login here @huntnful glad 6prc was easy. Next barrel ill give it the old prefit treatment and you can waste some lead

I could speed that 7-300 NMI up with 10 shots of 92gr. N570 😅

Completely get that. I’m just trying to find something that’ll shoot a 108 at 3100+ out of a 16” tube lol!
