Salt pills at 12 cents a pop.
I buy the 100 count and I think it comes out to like $1.00/packet. They are super convenient but again gatorade is a solid alternative.I like LMNT and Liquid IV, but man at $1.50 a pop for LMNT it is pretty ridiculous. I need to start a "hydration" company based on those margins.
For running and training I have been using straight sodium citrate, the same 1,000mg of sodium costs me 10 cents. Flavor it however you want. The single serve packets are handy to travel with though.
Regular diet covers most of your sodium needs, it's only when exercise is 3+ hours that it starts to have an impact on performance.
Yup its the salt. I always have pickles on deck to snack on with all the running i do it helpsHas anyone ever tried the mixes to make refrigerator pickles? Pickle juice knocks out any dehydration headache or cramp I've ever had.
