Hunting with Non-Illuminated FFP

To answer you Q, I've never had an issue seeing my retical in low light. Always been fine to shoot.

Actually, I just bought a Tikka 300 Win Mag and looking for a FFP optic on it for hunting.

I run FFPs on all my guns and shoot hold overs when hunting.

However, I want this to be THE gun for me, so I'm looking at a new Leupold Mark 4HD in the 4.5-18x

I have looked around Nightforce, SFWA, Vortex, etc.

But what I want is a FFP in something like a 3-18x scope with LOCKING turrets or caps so it won't get knocked around, bumped. Yes I've done the electrical tape, or read about it not being an issue. But I'm anal about this 300 Win Mag and want it how I want it. Lol!

I'm waiting on a new mk4 2.5-10. They certainly have a desirable feature set. I'll knock mine around quite a bit before committing to it for hunting. Hoping it has the most desirable attribute of all: Reliability.

Otherwise, and you likely are already aware if it, but the Maven RS 1.2 seems really close to what you're looking for.
