What all do you have in your truck/vehicle for when you’re in the back country? I carry my Milwaukee tools to change a tire/inflate a tire/jumper cables. Little bit of gas and oil.

What else is there?

Star wrench , long handle spade shovel , collapsible canvas bucket,, chainsaw , axe,
change of clothes in case I have get down and dirty. hi lift, tire plug kit, compressor, tools for the truck, Test light, jumper cables, old tarp to lay on, some wire and splices ,, I have also printed out some wiring diagrams for ignition, starting , charging, etc. fuses, relays, fire ext, I made a hose that screws on fuel service port so I can give some one some gas, fill my grizzly, or get some gas if I need it and someone stops with the right kind of truck.

In the old days I always had, spare water pump, aux. fuel pump. Fuel transfer pump. Now days, along with all of the above mentioned. I like to have old style vehicle jack and 12" x 12 "x 3/4" board to put jack on for those soft sand situations. More than once I had to jack vehicle out of deep rut then push it off jack. I only had to have a tow one time. Actually it wasn't a tow, just needed to get back on four tires.I always have a twenty ft. chain. And the ever handy first aid kit, which I have had to use on more than one occasion. At all time I keep at least one gallon of fresh water on board, even just around town. A water purification kit. Massive amounts of TP.

  4. tire plugs
  5. tire pump

  7. high lift jack
  8. tire chains
  9. wood block (protecting for high lift jack, putting under tire to install chains, etc.)

Actually I think I have the voodoo brand version of the stretch rope, but as 3/4 ton diesel owner, that thing is amazing. Either stand alone or In conjunction with a winch .
I even bought one for my mule pro.

I’ll try to remember what’s in my tool box that goes in the rig for the fall.
Yankum kinetic tow strap- these things are awesome
Winch that goes in reciever
2 20’ log chains
Chainsaw w/ gas and bar oil
2 3 ton come alongs
Axe
A few various blocks of wood
A vacuum sealed blanket
12volt air compressor w/ tire plugs
Boost pack
Fire making bag
Bottle jack
High lift jack attached to outside
Hand tool kit

I’m sure I’m forgetting something but it’s all packed in tight and everything has a spot. I lift it in and out with the bucket tractor.

I have a lot of stuff in my truck at all times. I don’t like being helpless if I can help it. It’s saved my ass and other people multitude of times.

The best idea I've ever had is keeping a set of Helly Hansen rain gear in my truck. When I have to chain up or crawl underneath in the snow and slush to fix somthing I stay totally dry and can slide around like I'm on a creeper. Even in warm weather, it's nice to have an impermeable layer between me and whatever is leaking.

Thanks for the list.

What is the difference between a jumper box and jumper cables? Is he calling something like a Noco Boost a jumper box?
