Hunting tent recommendations

I have been using a Big Agnes Fly Creek UL1 for 8 years now with no complaints. I’ve used it in the high country of Wyoming in the dead of winter with screaming winds, all the way to desert floor of Arizona in august (115+). It’s a three season tent but has worked well. Keeps bugs and wind out, plenty of room for me and all my gear fits in the vestibule. Quick to set up, compacts nicely for a free standing tent, durable, and weighs 37 oz. Best part is, it’s a very affordable option running just north of $300.

I hunt solo usually and still take this tipi.
Double door for warm weather
Stove jack for cold weather.

Just ordered a bivy to host the pad and bag, to avoid damage to pad and/or bag.

For those of you using a stove tent, how is this packing in/out and what’s the weight? Seems a bit cumbersome to me but I’m sure my lack of knowledge on this subject needs some educating!

You should also ask yourself if you need a freestanding tent or non-freestanding tent. I have been screwed a few times with a non freestanding tent.

Thats what I've been on the fence about also. I need a new tent this year and debating on a Copper Spur HV UL2 or a Cimarron. I just move a lot and feel like the stove/pipe/etc would be too much work every morning and night.

I had a copper spur and sold it after i trip,it was a nice tent but not for me.The zippers hung up way to easy,it was to fragile for me.

Hey all

I have been reading this forum for years but this is my first post. I live in bc Canada and after getting wet last year I’m looking for a new tent. I have been looking at 3 tents

Hille Nallo 3 gt
Kuiu storm star
Big Agnes cooper spur hv 3 expedition

We are a 2 person hunting team and we hunt sheep and elk. The kuiu tents are light but we would likely need 2 of them to have enough room. Last year in our little tents when the weather went bad it was like going to jail laying inside them for 36 hours above the tree line. Any help would be great
Thanks
