Scary story. As an old kayaker, I can tell you that rivers are always deeper and faster than they appear from above. The rescue video is worth checking out.

Sad deal. It's obvious he didn't survive. There's no way I would have made an attempt to cross that.

What in the world would make someone think they could cross that river on a tube, especially at 72. That river was moving! Sad

I had good ideas like that when I was 16 or 17 hunting. Wow is all I can say.
