Hey all, I was surfing the web trying to come up with a resource for back country weather forecasts and came across mountain forecast. I understand weather is unpredictable and that channel 5 can't get the weather correct most of the time but I was just looking for a general temps and precipitation. Does anyone have any feedback and or options on their data?

Here is a very good site I use to check the weather stations closest to you. pretty amazing how many are at higher altitude. Real time info here. Just click near the temp on the map to get more info from the station you want. You can move the map to different states too. Zoom in to get more stations. Scrool down the pace once you click on the station to get lots of good information.

I use noaa as well.
One think about them is weather is rarely "worse" than noaa predicts.
