According to the pathological lying terrorists?
It’s called postering.

You’ll SEE and hear a different story within 48 hours, guaranteed.
They supposedly fired on an Indian tanker with two gunboats. That's why there's no point in negotiating with them, nothing will ever stick. We have a long line of presidents who kicked the can down the road and put us in this mess.

It’s was never actually open. The US and Iran are not even in the same page with regard to negotiations as Iran has no intention of giving up enriched uranium. It’s also unclear whether the US is negotiating with a party that even has any authority over the Iranian military. Probably wasn’t a good idea to for the FBI to fire all of the Iranian intelligence experts shortly before engaging in a war.

However, happy to check back in with you for an update in 48 hours.

So what you are telling us, if you sold the 13 day rally on the Nasdaq Friday, you may be looking pretty smart on Monday.

But, the straight was never closed, either.
The terrorists are using terrorism.
It’s international waters, Iran doesn’t have any ownership of.

Everything else I agree with.
Yap at ya Monday.

You can take the 'Hegsethian' position that the strait remains open as a matter of principle, but I would argue that a strait that isn't functionally open is effectively closed. By 'functionally open,' I mean that commercial vessels are cleared for safe passage by both hostile actors and maritime insurance companies. If ships are forced to idle in the water—waiting for geopolitics and insurance economics to give them the green light—resulting in cascading, weeks-long delays across global supply chains, then the strait is not truly open for commerce. Furthermore, if passage is exclusively permitted for Iranian and Chinese vessels, it is not functionally open. As far as the rest of the international community is concerned, it is closed

Stating that it is "open" doesn't make it functionally open. Is is in fact not open, therefore it is closed.

It gets frustrating trying to figure out what is really going on over there. The lazy news channel reports aren't much of a help. You don't know if they are 5 minutes old, 12 hours old or from last week for that matter.
Why doesn't some entrepreneur go to the tip of Oman overlooking the Strait of Hormuz and install the mother of all live-cams so we can see for ourselves. Kind of like our live-cams they have on our lakes up North. LOL

Laziness isn't the issue
