I urge you to please weigh that decision out. One of my buddies was killed riding his motorcycle to work last week. Someone didn't see him and he died on impact. 28 years old.Diesel went up another 20 cents since I filled up 2 weeks ago.. I'm buying a motorcycle.. I can't afford to pay $240-3x per month for fuel

Gotta ride like everyone and everything is trying to kill you
I hope that doesn't mean so fast that you pass everyone while riding the center line or using the breakdown/bike lane if you choose.
The fuel prices are making all of us do what we gotta to get by. Good luck!
I know a guy that was just like you. Dude was on two wheels before he could walk. Racing, sand dunes, mountain riding, everything. He was riding home one day and someone pulled out in front of him. Died in the bed of the pickup. You can be the best damn rider in the world, its everyone else you have to worry about.I've weighed it plenty of times. Been riding for almost 20 years, haven't ridden on the street in about 7 years(think race track). First month i owned a motorcycle, a car pulled out in front of me while I was going 50mph. I have a half numb foot from a previously herniated disk to prove it. I ended up 40 yards away from the scene of the accident. I fully comprehend what you're trying to convey. Gotta ride like everyone and everything is trying to kill you
Agree, and these days everyone is on a cell phone while driving. You know, watching tiktok and posting selfies in IG. I got rid of my street bikes just because of this. I’m either going to get another street bike or make my RZR 570 street legal. My truck costs over $200 in diesel to fill up.I know a guy that was just like you. Do you man, in no way am I saying that you shouldnt. Its just scary.
I think you're reading people wrong. Has nothing to do with resisting technology. Has to do with the only thing that makes the things you describe affordable is subsidies. Other issue is at this point it is impractical. How many solar panels and wind turbines would it take to power the U.S. and where would they all go?I'm psyched about electric cars. I don't quite get why people are so resistant to new technology. It's far from perfect, but will continue to get better and better.
I'm researching solar for my home and maybe even small scale wind. I'd love to be less dependent on external energy in my daily life. I don't see a downside other than the inability to refuel quickly on long trips and possibly cold weather performance. Sitting at a charging station for 45-60 minutes during a 8-12 hour drive would drive me nuts. For 90% of my daily life, electric will be great.

It means keep you head on a swivel, ride in a group if if you can. keep yourself in a position to swerve out of the way, be able to jam on your brakes without getting rear ended, or if need be gas it out. Lots of strategies to staying alive on a motorcycle. I do not subscribe to "loud pipes save lives" .
Driving any vehicle is the most dangerous thing people do every day without a second thoughtI know a guy that was just like you. Dude was on two wheels before he could walk.
