I’ll pick some up and see if it makes a difference. I bought 3 or 4 boxes from the same lot and it didn’t do it till part way thru the last boxBuy a different lot of ammo and see if it still does it. Sometimes Hornady sends out shit. Just a fact.
Have many more details on bedding in the luggage area? How did you get it to align and hold the action in place? Did you use the action screws?Ergos are nice think you will like it. Finish is typical stockys and ideally the lug should be bedded as it floats in stockys inlet (no idea why @Stockys thinks this is a good idea but it should be supported where the action screws atrach). The LOP is short and with some scope options this is a hassle (the maven. I would quite like to get my hands on a non inletted one as the form seems like it would work great from the kimber.
This is also a potential indicator of a carbon ring forming. Might be a good time to deep clean the chamber and throat.I’ll pick some up and see if it makes a difference. I bought 3 or 4 boxes from the same lot and it didn’t do it till part way thru the last box
Held with surgical tubing stretched gently around the action and stock. Its not much different from normal bedding except got to be more careful of keeping bedding out of the action screw threads and that you want it to bear on the lug (as thats where the screw is).Have many more details on bedding in the luggage area? You are in Australia, get ahold of this guy, https://gunbloke.com/ecommerce/howa-1500-hact-trigger-spring-kitEvening gents, the trigger spring in my howa mini isnt quite cutting the mustard for me anymore. The only trigger I think I can get in Australia that'll fit the mini is this Jard trigger but its part no.1533. Will this still work in the mini?
JARD
Looking at the case on the right. It looks like the imprint of the recess for the extractor under the “ARC” with a messed up rim. That and the brass shavings on your bolt face make me think the hard edge on the extractor may be grabbing the case rim and trying to twist it in the chamber as you rotate the bolt. I smoothed the rough edges on my bolt face, extractor, and ejector. I don’t think it was the main cause of my problem, but I quit making brass shavings.I was shooting my 6 arc today with factory hornady eldm’s and my last 2 shots had much heavier than normal bolt lift. There was some marks on the brass. Any idea what would cause this? Maybe a dirty chamber?
