Agree, good way to start shooting but the scope is meh at best.
Definitely isn't a scope I'd buy outside of the combo but if you didn't shoot past 200 yards and didn't hunt the edge of dawn/dusk it would be an ok scope. Mine have come with adjustable parallax objectives that actually worked OK but they aren't anything close to the $300 msrp that they claim for them.

I've bought the scoped combo before. The scope is MOA adjustments on a MIL Dot reticle. The rings and scope are 1" are suitable and usable. Gets you shooting right out of the gate and let's you upgrade where you feel it is the most useful. On my 6mm ARC I changed the stock to a Stockys and upgraded the scope after 1 season. Neither was "required" but more of a want. If you look on gunbroker you can find the combo with the Houge stock and Nikko Sterling scope for between $490 and $510 with no CC fees or shipping from time to time. Good way to get into a ready to shoot gun with money left to buy ammo.

Thanks, Now to figure out if i want the shorter chunky barrel or not. I much prefer short barrels so I am leaning that way.
