I looked at the scapegoat 25 and decided it was about the perfect size for a day pack to run the items I need. I ordered it and figured when it came in a would rig up a way to strap my bow to it so that I can use my trekking poles while walking. Anyways, the bag won't be in for a couple days so I thought I would see what opinions you guys have in the meantime! How would you rig up a way to strap a bow to it? Thanks in advance!!

I really love my Scapegoat 25, it's proving to be one of my all time favorite packs. But I think it'll be tough to strap a bow to it out of the box. I think the easiest thing to do would be to pick up a pair of SR buckles and unthread the side compression straps. Someone posted some pics of a similar config on another forum. I'll try to find the link

yeah, I'm for sure gonna have to do something. I think the scapegoat will be the perfect day pack for me once I have a way of attaching my bow to it. I kinda don't understand why Mystery Ranch doesn't have some sort of a universal system that can buckle up to many of their different packs. Then all they would have to do is sew the buckles on to the packs and you could but the rest as an accessory.

Figuring out Mystery Ranch pack decisions is.......a Mystery.
Removing the permanent Stick It pocket from their packs (Sweet Pea, Big Horn, Big Sky) was a real head scratcher. In this case a Stick It would easily solve your problem.

I do like my Scapegoat.
