You did the right thing on both examples imo. Keep it up. I enjoy a “gentlemanly“ discussion, but when it devolves into name calling etc., I tune out. If that behavior is not stopped, I leave the forum, which may or may not be a loss to that forum... So thank you, and all your moderators, for keeping this a pretty darned good place to participate.

It's nice to go to a place that is respectful. Disagreements are inevitable. How it is handled is a choice.

Years ago, I didn't understand folks. I'm an engineer by training, so I had few people skills and no girlfriend (other engineers will understand).

Then I moved into supervision roles and found out that no one ever really grows up. Everyone has their child moments. For me It's when you can own it and move on that makes the difference. Some can. Some can't.

I really appreciate how you guys manage this forum. I despised refusing to say or type a word, but using it by a commonly understood reference, so I appreciate that you treat them as one and the same.

I understand people get hot over things, but learning to control and channel that is part of being an adult and a contributing member of society. I also think some people are nice to those they like, which means two different people can have a very different impression of how they are in person. Some just don't make the connection that they are still communicating with another human. Some are hiding behind a keyboard and trying to make themselves feel better at the expense of others.

Don’t have to spell it out to know the meaning. Same reason why the unnecessary censorship videos that made the rounds a while back were so funny. “The count” is still the best.

don’t get me wrong I wasn’t offended, but the irony in your post is the real gem here.

That post was a complete joke. Especially the zone I posted. Just a wild guess based on his photos and trying to keep the convo light with the OP. OP also didn’t care at all and we’ve since conversed about it.
