How to Carry DSLR While Hunting

I recently picked up a Cannon SX50 to start working on my photography. While it's not a full on DSLR it's every bit as big and heavy. I primarily bought this for hunting purposes. Other than throwing it in the pack and taking it out every time I want to take a photo I was curious if there are any other options?

I would like to keep it handy at all times but understand that this is more than likely not a liable option.

When big game hunting, the DSLR is in the pack, but when backpacking or bird hunting I use a simple cotton carrier holster from their bargain bin. The holster is a Velcro system, so I can place it directly to my MR pack belt or my regular belt if I don't have a pack.

They have lots of other options as well if this is not whet you are looking for. I also have one of their vest carriers, but when wearing a pack or binos, it doesn't work well.

I'm going to use a bino harness and keep the binos in the pack, and least when I'm walking around. If I need a quick zoom look I can use my rangefinder.
