How much suppressor is to much for a tikka roughtech barrel?

Looking at picking up a tikka roughtech in 6.5prc in the next week or so, also looking to pair up my first suppressor with the new tikka.
I want to use the suppressor across a couple various rifles, from a 26" 300wm to a 16" 223 bolt gun and ar.
The omega 300 dt is looking like a solid choice for a first suppressor, but it is a touch heavy compared to some other models.

Am I asking for trouble hanging 14-15oz off a roughtech barrel? It will be the lightest profile barrel I own. Some other options I've looked at in the 500-800$ range can weigh under 10 oz, but might lack some durability?

Any thoughts on a good first suppressor? Full auto rated isn't needed, most it would see is maybe a mag dump out of an ar, most of its life will live on bolt action hunting rifles.

While a suppressor will change your POI, a heavy one won’t cause problems with your barrel. It will just be a pain in the ass. Putting 15 oz at the end of a 26” barrel is a lot of leverage. Suppressors are a lifetime purchase. If you aren’t sure about something and you go ahead and buy it, you are effectively stuck with it. Save your money and buy a quality can that is suited to what you intend to do with it. That said, I can’t think of a single suppressor that is rated for 300 WM that won’t do what you are talking about and hold up in the long run.

For a few years I had the exact rifle but in a 6.5cm with 24”. Used a harvester can (similar to omega but a bit lighter at 11oz) and it’s worked well. Rifle actually shot better with the can. The overall length was pretty darn long that’s why I cut the barrel down to 18”. Would not recommend that length of rifle if you hunt thicker areas

I ended up buy a Jolene S can. the light weight was a big seller to me, and 650$ was hard to pass up.
Ill get a 22 cal can in a few months, and then if I want a uber quiet something ill shop for another 30 cal can without weight being a factor.

Whenever you get some range time with the Jolene, report back how you like it. I've been looking at that one to use on my tikka roughtech 6.5cm with a 20" barrel.

i have an Otter creek labs Hydrogen L in .30cal on my tikka T3x lite in 308 and it is awesome and pretty lightweight being its titanium and direct thread. changed my POI 8'' at 200yds but reduced recoil dramatically and the sound signature to that of a 22mag
