How many states have you taken big game in?

My son was asking me about the different species around the USA and which ones I've hunted. It was interesting that in doing this, I never realized that I hunted in so many places.

I've also hunted in Mi In, Mn, and Wi unsuccessfully

16 states from what I can remember right now. I never realized this until we were talking about it. Funny how years go by and these things just fade from Memory! I had a job in my life that required a lot of travel. The main reason I managed to hunt in the midwestern states

I've lived the bulk of my life in Pennsylvania, Louisiana, and Florida...and never killed a big game animal in any of those states. My list looks like this:

Mule Deer -- CO, NM
Elk -- CO, ID
Bear -- ID
Whitetail Deer -- IL, KS

Hoping to add another CO elk, a WY pronghorn, and a NM elk to this list this year!

I should add that I've been unsuccessful on elk in ID and NM (x3).

Heck, my hunters often shoot more in one ten day PG safari then they have in their whole
lives. In Australia you can have 10 pig days with a bow, with a rifle I'm not sure how many is possible in some places.
