That sounds like a great annual trip. Sorry to hear of those close passing, that area is awesome I used to hunt in the Hayward/minong area for 20 years. Tough hard earned hunting but beautiful country and learned a lot.

My family has a cabin in the Minong area as well and couldn’t agree more with the hard earned hunting. We now own some property in Pierce country on the west side and it’s amazing the opportunity, quantity and quality differences between the areas. I still Bear hunt up there and fish during the winter as I love it up there but my deer and turkey hunting are spent in Pierce.
