20 years married, 26 together. 3 kids. Our relationship has been incredibly strong the entire time and definitely the compass needle for everything else in life, which, like most, has had its share of both good and tough times.

Only thing I'd change is I'd have went out with her @ 19 yo when she first asked. Was in a different college and in a relationship with someone else so didn't accept, but grateful beyond measure for 2nd chances and that things worked out the way they did.

53 years last August. She’s my best friend, loving wife and on rare occasions lover. Last part seems to becoming increasingly rare. Oh well, good ‘nuff!
Reminds me of the joke about the old timer that married a hot 20 year old.
A friend asked if he wasn't a little scared of a possible heart attack.

"If it kills her it kills her"

(10yrs) #1 - [Overall she was a good woman. I was an idiot for stepping away]
(3yrs) #2 - (aka Mrs Anger Mgmt) [Passion-fueled mistake, but I don't regret it]
(18+yrs) #3 - And then there's Mama. My Little Hula girl :) Coming up on 18yrs.

10+3+18 = 31yrs total.

My son's a Senior in HS now. (And almost about to execute his Eagle Scout Project!)

Not only that!... I can now legit add the title "International Runway Model" to Mama's Resume' at the tender young age of 56yo!

A childhood friend of hers that lived across the street from her parents house (she's front and center of 3rd picture), she's a Clothing Designer now and needed models for her garments this year at ....... wait for it..... Paris Fashion Week 2024!

EDIT: This line is Outerwear/Jackets, with emphasis on being garments for "Real People".

Lot’s of truth there. Valentine’s is a killer for opening day of duck season in South Louisiana. Unfortunately all three of mine were born in November.

How long you guys (gals) been married?

My wife and I celebrated our 41st anniversary last October (when I was a teen I said I'll never get married during hunting season :ROFLMAO:). In addition my wife, she's my best friend who I've shared so many wonderful adventures!

Just prior to our last anniversary, I asked her if I should make reservations to our favorite "fancy" restaurant? She said "can't we just go backpacking instead"? "Ahhhhh sure" :D

We brought a couple of bacon wrapped fillets, a tin foil pack of seasoned small potatoes, a bag o' salad/dressing and a couple of cold beers- it was a good or better meal that would have gotten at any restaurant for sure.

My best friend through thick and thin!

Tomorrow will make 40 years for us. I hope she’ll sign up for another 40!

44 years here and would t change a thing. My dad told me as a kid “ There ain’t nothing better that being married to the “right” one and ain’t nothing worse than being married to the wrong one one so choose wisely”. My best advice to you young guys is that the best way to get to know your wife’s true nature is to get to know her parents ( if they’re still around). You can figure out what kind of person/wife she’ll be by seeing how she was “raised”. Sort of the old school approach for those of us who grew up in the 60s and 70s. All the best to everyone and Merry Christmas to you.

My bride has put up with me for 28 years so far. Don’t know how she does it sometimes. She’s not a hunter, but she loves to tag along and help out. She drags me along on all her adventures, cruises, all inclusives and river cruises. She’s a Travel Advisor which sure helps when I need a quick flight for some hunt or job that just popped up.IMG_9027.jpeg
