How far was your average sheep shot?

Trying to get an average distance you guys are taking sheep at

Sample size of 1. Dall sheep. 257 yards.

From the mid 1960's to the present, average shot distance on Dall sheep has been about 100 yards.

I have had shot from 125 yds to 515 yds.… distribution seems to be more in the 300 yds and in range though.

My only sheep was at 417 yards.

I usually limit my range to 300+/-. Never really had a problem moving in on them, just have to be patience. I'm sure the bowhunters are laughing. I hadn't really thought about this before. These are estimates. I use a range finder, but don't remember all the details exactly except for a couple. There was lots of chances to shoot at much longer ranges, but I just don't do it, too many variables for me.
