How far are your average predator shots?

Just trying to get an average for each type of game

25-100 yards usually calling for me. Just depends on the country and how the coyotes react at each stand. I have glassed coyotes a long ways out that were hung up and wouldn't come in. I have had coyotes run over the call. Thats why its so dang fun. You just never know. I have a few buddies that carry a shotgun and a rifle to each stand.

With that perspective my average will come down as well as I shoot coyotes from the edge of the trap circle. 4-5 feet.

Same with wolves and foxes. I think I shot my wolf from about 8ft. Had to really aim that pistol!

Coyotes: I've only killed maybe a dozen. Probably average 250 yards.
Bobcats: Shot two without hounds. Average distance 25 yards (one called, one from tree stand deer hunting.)
Red Fox: 30 yards (bumped him chukar hunting)

I have killed 3 Coyotes in SEPA all have been under 30 yards believe it or not.

Most are within 200 yards. The closest I've shot a coyote not in a trap was about 3 feet turkey hunting and longest shot was 620 yards. A lot of it depends on weather and how far im able to see for me.

Coyotes and Fox average around 100 yards. Things happen fast once they get closer so I try to stop them right around that distance.
