Ceramic pour over. I switched to it about 2 months ago and have never enjoyed coffee more.....and I've been enjoying way too much coffee for over 20 years. Best method I have found.i would say for me, French press is the worst method I have used.

You may want to consider the clever dripper as a pour over hybrid option. It uses immersion method and then funnels it out after desired time. It makes a more consistent, easy cup of coffee than a basic pour over method.

What also made a difference for me is using whole beans and a good grinder. Get an adjustable burr grinder for more consistent grind. Use course grind for French press and medium to medium-fine for pour-over.

Drip at home. Can make a 14 cup pot in less than 10 mins. But our favorite is to percolate when camping and hunting.

Quality fresh roasted beans and a quality grinder are very important to a good cup. I use the technivorm moccamaster for a pot of coffee everyday. Pour overs and aeropress is a great option for just a cup. French press is great too, just need a coarser grind.

Home I use drip coffee pot, or if I want a particularly strong brew I will use a French press.

Camping I use Percolator for big pots or small French press for just myself.

I will second using whole beans and using a good grinder improves the taste.
