I tried some 162 gr in my 7mm WSM and was able to get MOA barely, I have a friend who cant get under MOA with a gun that shoots 1/2 MOA with Amax's. Does anyone have experience with them and have any secrets? The BC is great, but unless they're accurate it doesn't mean much.

I haven't found any of the 143gr ELD-X's for my 6.5 CM to try, but my gun hasn't liked the factory ammo at all. I sure hope the 6.5 components are a cyclical thing because before I got the gun I saw components everywhere. Now that I have it, good brass is tough to find, the 143's have been non-existent, and H4350 is out of stock everywhere.

i tried the 162 eld-x in my 7wsm also and they didn't shoot super great. I didn't do a ton of load testing but just decided to stick with my 168 burgers that will shoot 1/4 moa.

I set some a little deeper today at .050 and after two three shot groups, first two were touching, third shot was .75 off.

I'm curious how these are going to shoot out my Tikka Superlite 7mm mag..I measured with OAL gauge to lands as 3.415" and the longest I can fit in my magazine is 3.360"...doesn't leave me much adjustment to get closer to the lands. Anyone else run into this? I loaded some 150 gr ttsx at the longest I could fit and they shoot .75 groups. Not sure how the ELDx will do.

my 300 ultramag is shooting 1/4 moa with the 200's and same with 220's. i tried 5 off, 10,20,30 and feeding from mag at 55 off. 20 off was best using h-1000. getting single digit #'s i dig them. yet to shoot an animal. maybe next month. the middle of the node i chose was 89.7gr, pretty much the same at 89.5 and 90. 50 bmg was good as well but slower, retumbo was too eratic. my guns a CA ridgeline if it matters

My 6.5 Creedmoor likes the 140 ELD Match .050 off the lans. 030 off and 010 were about the same, when I got to. 050 they went from . 6 to about quarter MOA.

I'm with 16Bore: the factory stuff (if available, it should be a good indicator of theoretical handload performance.)
I shot the Precision Hunter line in a notoriously finicky Weatherby Ultra Lightweight in 30-06 and the 6.5 Creedmoor in an out of the box Ruger American Predator. The 30-06 was the most accurate load I've shot in the Weatherby after several years of goofing with it.
The 143 gr. 6.5 Creedmoor shot very well. Enough so I won't be working on any loads until after hunting season wraps up in AK... if ever for that rifle. (bought to be a loaner)

I got 1.25-1.5 moa in my tikka t3 7mag with the factory hornady presicion Hunter in 162 gr. I can get 3/4 moa from hornady American whitetail 154 gr and premium federal nosler partitions in 160. For what it's worth I also get 3/4 moa to 1 moa from Walmart deer thugs in 160 gr.

Interesting on the Tikka, I'd expect it to be a bit tighter. 1:9-1/2 twist should do it I'd think.

What velocity are you getting with the 200's in the RUM?

The factory Hornady Precision Hunter 6.5 Creedmoor 143gr ELD-X ammo gave me 1.5" to 2" groups at 100. And velocities were from 2710 all the way down to 2640's.......all over the place. I know I can do better than that handloading........and for a LOT cheaper.
