High value predator rifle?

If you already know you're replacing the stock, grabbing a Howa barreled action would be your other option. Brownells has 223, Grendel, 6ARC, etc. Add an MDT field chassis for $299.

Keep an eye out for discount codes that come around frequently and you can do pretty well in terms of accuracy and value for dollar.
Unless they have added options, don’t believe they fit the Howa mini action, and some of those calibers BA’s are mini actions. Be something to check on.

Oooo I
I thought about a barreled action from Howa too, but with a 90° bolt angle, I worried about clearance with the big thermal scope and gloves
Am i overthinking the bolt angle?? I watched a video yesterday on the Mini and it looked like the bolt handle was all but hitting the scope

Have you looked at the CVA Cascades at all? Little bit higher price point but man they're solid rifles.

A buddy has Cascade LRH. It shoots. For sure.

That’s 3 at 100 from a 7 mag. 162 ELDMS at 3065.

That would kill any predator you wanted to. 😁IMG_4170.jpeg

Factory stock on that particular model of CVA is a lot better than an American.

The best rifle for predator hunting in that price point is probably the ruger g2. The savage trail hunter is a close second, but the ruger has a shorter bolt lift, and fluted barrel. Now, the factory stock is junk, so by the time you add a mdt or Indian creek your at a 1,000 dollar rig. Personally in that price point, the tikka t3x varmit is the class act.
Have a ruger g2 223, tikka t3x v in 22-250, and a beretta brx1 in 243.

Attached is the ruger g2, indian creek mofo chassis
