High value predator rifle?

If you already know you're replacing the stock, grabbing a Howa barreled action would be your other option. Brownells has 223, Grendel, 6ARC, etc. Add an MDT field chassis for $299.

Keep an eye out for discount codes that come around frequently and you can do pretty well in terms of accuracy and value for dollar.
i think this is the best option if he is wanting to replace the stock.

That or find a rem 700 or clone of one used and upgrade as he sees fit

I thought about a barreled action from Howa too, but with a 90° bolt angle, I worried about clearance with the big thermal scope and gloves

It’s a factory stock that I modified to have an “appropriate” grip. 😁
I’ve done a couple of them. IMG_3673.jpegIMG_0585.jpegIMG_3940.jpeg

This is the write up with some pictures. Feel free with questions if you’re interested. I’ll help with what I can.

I back the trigger adjustment screw down as far as it will go and take the blade out.
Barreled actions are stock.

Personally, I don’t like the way the blade feels. I like a normal trigger better. I’m just too cheap to buy one. 😁

Removal is pretty easy once the barreled action is removed from the stock.
I can pull one and get some pictures for you on what to remove if you like.

My high-value brokedick thermal rifle is a Gen1 Ranch in grendel with a high-value Wraith mini thermal attached. MOA to 800 with factory 123's....

Homie you bag a house cat? Haha 😆

You must not understand what value means then…. The American is a damn good rifle for 550… that’s what value is. I didn’t say it’s a Sauer or a Blaser
So during the old covid times I found a gen 1 rar .223 1-9, 22” barrel. Paid 400ish for it. Great value for what it is, comes threaded, groups 55 grn cheapo fantastic and has killed a small pile of yotes, thermal scope would be a great addition! I put together a tikka t3x .223 with the 1-8 and it’s arguably nicer, but ran me an additional 500ish after cut, thread, cerakote
