Wanting to buy a 22lr for general plinking around, maybe small game hunting, just general shooting and having fun. I'm pretty anal, and have no use for inaccurate guns. Considering Tikka T1x (never had a bad Tikka), Bergara BMR, CZ 547, others in this $500'ish price range?

I just put together a T1x, sportsmach to35c, swfa 6mq and bell and carlson stock. Nice little rig, wish I did it 10 years ago.

2nd in line was a cz, but I went tikka to open up t3 stock options.

Heard good things about those old Winnie's for sure. I have an extra T3X stock on hand and ready.

You won't regret a T1x. Fantastic .22! I have one set up identical to my daughter's .223 and a few other T3x rifles. It's a blast to shoot. She gets bored banging away on small steel flippers at 100yds. Very accurate, even with bulk ammo.

If your a lever guy a Marlin 39A is more fun than a guy should have. The thing holds more than 20 rounds is just stupid fun.
Not sure you could find one in that price any longer...

Tikka is very good. CZ 457's are too. I have 1 Tikka and 5 CZ's 2-22lr, 22 mag, 17 HMR, 17 Mach2. 3 of them have Lilja barrels. 2 Are factory Manners stocks, an American, and a varmint, and 1 with a Grey Birch folding chassis.

This is a factory Manners w/ Lilja 22Lr barrel.

I have a couple T1x I’m happy with. Bonus is same function and trigger of its center fire counterpart. Also threaded already.

Also some decent aftermarket support that continues to grow.

I have a t1x that is set up similar to how my other tikkas are. It's a good gun, super accurate and fun to shoot with the silencer on it.

I recently bought a T1x with an20” barrel. I lightened the trigger and put a scope on it. That’s all I’ve done to it. It’s very accurate.

Dumb question.....will a 30cal can work on a 22LR rimfire? I know thread pitch is OK.
It will work but you’ll want to use a 30 caliber that comes apart for cleaning. Rimfire ammo is pretty dirty so you’ll start getting gunked up. I usually clean my rimfire can every 150-200rds. Past that my t1x hardly feeds because of all the residue.
