Yup. I posted a thread asking what are popular powders so if I see some @ reasonable prices ( you had some wise comments on that also) I would buy and then trade for the things I need that I may not see @ reasonable prices. If you do not like that then tfb.

If everyone would just stop......well that's optimistic and not the current situation we find ourselves in so I will just work with what is happening right now and not hope for something different.

If everyone would never break a law we would have a good situation also but I am not waiting for that either so I will be prepared to defend myself and people who I care about.

I think your a Karen.....stop on by and prove me wrong, Douglas county, Kansas.... just make an appointment so I schedule you in.

A bit, hostile, don't you think?

It cant be said enough...stock up during good times. We had 4 years of high quantity, low prices on pretty much everything and most people didn't buy a damn thing.

Also a Karen is someone that cares about what other people are doing...so in this case, technically speaking, you are the Karen.

This is what I don't get. 5,000 primers. 5,000?! Are you going to shoot 5,000 rounds? 1 brick would burn out my barrel. I'm sitting on about 2/3 brick magnum and 2/3 brick of standard primers and feeling pretty stocked. Maybe I just don't shoot enough I used to buy them 100 at a time.
10 years ago I would have agreed with you. 5k is not so much for someone who shoots quite a bit, though.

The best way to help everyone out is to be able to sit this out because you have a few years worth of supply.

Does someone have a guilty conscience? Zap...there was a guy on archerytalk that went by zap, that used to brag about buying his kids clothes at cabelas then returning them at the end of the season. This was back when cabelas had amazing return policies. Wouldn’t happen to be the same person?
I do not shop at cabelas and I have nothing to feel guy about.

That's a bummer, sorry to pour salt in the wound, keep after it you will get some.
Was that bull in your avatar on a frontal? Killed a bull this year, shot in exactly the same spot heading right at me at 7 yards. So much blood.

Man! Things have been real testy around here lately. Here's my take-Zap and Ucsdryer, you both have been around awhile, both seem to have always added productive input to the forums, and I never recall wanting to meet and beat either of you. That's a good thing.
I read the other thread, and in my knuckle dragging, non college educated brain, think Zap was asking to be a good neighbor and barter for those who had a tough time finding items.
As far as this thread, Ucsdryer-your spot on. The "Whore-ders" are making it much worse. But will it stop? No.
Oh and you def had the Karen thing wrong.

Gents-have a beer and enjoy what your Uncle Joe is doing to this country

So keeping the peace, I'll tell a story..
I used to go get my coworkers lunch. The coworkers would start to demand extras.
The extras would be the most ridiculous stuff. Extra pickles, light ketchup, no mustard, butter and toast the bun...it's friggin McDs... you're lucky they give you something remotely close.
I said you got one change to an order and that's it.
They got pissed and said I couldn't do it right.
Said if they don't like it, go buy it yourself.
Finally fed up. Ordered a bunch of cheeseburgers minus burgers..

I was reading the original post saying the same thing to myself.

@Ucsdryder I have H4350 purchased this week if you want to meet up and grab some in a fair trade. Absolutely, I have a use for it. Absolutely, I took advantage of my good fortune in being in the right store at the right time and bought additional knowing full well I would use it down the road or be able to find someone with primers or other hard to find powder who wanted to fairly trade. This morning I met up with a guy from a few miles away and he now has some H4350 and I now have some primers. He was happy, I was happy, and no Karens were involved.

What primers do you need? I have 200 Rem 9 1/2M large rifle magnum that I can spare, 100 CCI 350 large magnum pistol, and 100 Win W209 primers.

And if you want to drive down, I've got two pounds of RL22 that I can spare, and I could sell you 1/2 of my 8lb jug of H4350. $40/lb. I could also probably spare 3-4 pounds of Accurate 2200.
You still got those 9 1/2 magnum primers?

Holy shit!!! I'm gonna sell my H1000 and buy a thermal scope. Wait, that'd be gouging right?

Chris

No doubt! The irony of this thread is no logical person would turn down that offer, people complain about that price being gouging, but it was in the free-est market form there is.

I didn't click on it to see if the 3% credit card fee was additional either.

Esited->duh it says 2% right there.

There was a guy that passed away here in north idaho that had 800 lbs of powder, way over a million primers, brass for every case known to man, and for bullets... he had I think 30 Rubbermaid’s full of bullets. The ammo he had filled a small enclosed trailer.

I was happy paying discount prices for H4350, H4831SC and the assorted primers I got!

as far as hoarding, in the last 8 months I have gotten what I purchased from that estate, 9 lbs of N570 4 lbs of H1000 and about 500 bullets. Shooting in the last 8 months??? Maybe 50 reloads, 100 in factory Ammo.
