Help with Tripod/Head

Lately I’ve been getting out there more than usual, and I figured it’s time to get a tripod/head. I currently own 10x42 Maven B.1 binoculars, but I don’t know anything about tripods/heads. I’m looking for suggestions on what I should look into purchasing. I’m open to new/used, and my budget is $500 for the setup. I’m mainly looking for something that I can carry around in a pack while hiking. Although I’d like to use it for spotting at the range.

So far I like the Aziak Backcounty Light the best. Im not crazy about the Backcountry light ball head, but it does work. Someone else will chime in with head recommendations.

For the record, it dont own the Aziak, I have just spent a lot of time with it.
