So I know a lot of 80 metal were blues oriented, from dime bag to ..... whoever. I love the guitars (can't play one), and I love any music blues influenced. Hunting season is slow so I hope we can talk the blues, until hunting season, I love muddy waters, lighting hopkins, john lee hooker, susan tedeschi to big mama thorton. Stevie ray is still my favorite. If anyone can steer me to some blues, I am all ears. The blues are all american to me. help me find some older classics while I wait for my moose hunt

Leadbelly is good, many of the recordings ...not so much
Lightnin' Hopkins
All the other guys mentioned above.
If you haven't already, check out Jack White. Phenomenal guitarist. Look for his live stuff on Youtube with different musicians in Nashville.

Thank you all for some new stuff. I will check out. Does anyone like susan tedeschi? Her voice seems magical to me.???
Tedeschi trucks band is probably the best touring live band going right now. If you like blues and soul you won’t be disappointed seeing them live.

Magic Slim and the Teardrops.

George Thorogood does some great updated renditions in tribute to the old blues bands. Especially Hound Dog Taylor.

Thank you to everyone who has thrown some artists my way. A lot I have on spotify but there are a lot that I have not heard. And I have load some of those from spotify and put them into my collection. I appreciate every response. I hope the thread helps fill the hunting void.. I just want to give thumbs up emoji to everyone with the great suggestions.
