Hells Canyon Magazines not engaging retention spring

I ordered two Hell’s Canyon Armory magazines for a tikka build in 6.5 PRC. The mags will not engage the mag catch at all. I can set them in as far as I can get them and they pull right out. The mag release does not move into the “engaged” position. Other after market mags and the factory mag engage just fine. This is new bottom metal, but is not listed on the HCA website as not compatible.

Anyone else have this problem? Any suggested fixes?

what bottom metal and stock?
My HCA mags work with factory bottom metal in my stockys vg and factory stock but not in my Mesa/pure precision, while my mountain tactical mags work in every stock I have.

Try it with factory bottom metal for a sanity check. Your new bottom metal catch is likely a little different vertically, if you want to use it the HCA mag might need to be filed a bit if you want to use those.
