Regarding CO and detector placement- CO is SLIGHTLY lighter than air. So technically it should be set high on a wall.
In reality, it is so close to the VD of air that any air movement can push it up or down. The best place to put it, when you dont have to use an outlet or screw it into the wall up high and out of the way so it doesn’t look tepid in your home, would be at the level that people are sleeping.
