Not too picky because I’m just now getting around to trying out Berger bullets. Gun shoots 155 Scenar very well but my short barrel 308 doesn’t have the velocity for expansion at 600 yards. Primary purpose is to hunt so VLD or classic hunter

I’ve got a decent stash of JLK LBT 180s I probably won’t use. They use the same jacket as a Berger and are probably closest to the 180 elite hunter. Really short bearing surface so you should be able to push them faster than other 180s.

I have reloaded for 20 + years. I have never seen it this bad. It will likely take a year or so for things to get back to normal.

The general mentality of your average person has changed a lot in the last 20 years though....

I should have built a 6 creed. Looks like 6mm stuff is easy picking right now

Gun show was ridiculous today. Bought a Capstick book and a Ruger MK II magazine. Wife got a surgical stapler and wound kit.

They can eat that ammo for all I care.

Things are starting to look up a little bit in my area. This was at my LGS last week. Primers are still nowhere to be found. After the big lines cleared out from Thursday’s delivery Academy had some leftover ammo.

Powders and primers are being shipped. Take a look at gunbroker, theres a ton of powder and primers available, many in new packaging. If there was a shortage, there would be none to be found. Instead, what we have are a bunch of greedy a-holes trying to make an extra buck.

A buddy found some small rifle primers the other day. Local shop wanted 300$ a brick. I told him he should call back and laugh at him.

No shit, funny. Worst part is the guy looking for primers is scrambling to find some because he has 300 and just getting into reloading, using my equipment. I’m happy to give him a few if needed, but told him to still keep an eye out and look.
